Iran is willing to restart atomic discussions with Washington on condition that it is handled with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

The Iranian diplomat stated only diplomacy was effective, and revealed recent overtures had originated from go-betweens to reopen negotiations with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran did not have unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to permit the UN nuclear inspectorate to inspect struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Navigating a Challenging Route

The foreign minister is navigating a complex path since Iran does not want be perceived to be operating from a situation of disadvantage, and he emphatically stated that Iran had come out stronger defensively and psychologically from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.
