The Streaming Giant Chooses Spot-On Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. This character can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that character reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.
This performer will work alongside multiple fresh additions set to bring the organization to life, including chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Though this character is a key figure of the group, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Considering the second season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest more adjustments to the narrative framework.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the character. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
