Vince Zampella, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a highway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
